Rewriting Max Beerbohm's essay, Going Out for a Walk

Consider: if you had to write an essay such as “Going Out for a Walk”, what topic would you write about? (Maybe an idea from question 7b!) What would be your thesis and what key points would you use to support your thesis?

Thesis: Playing videos games is not an activity in which you should ever participate as it is a  waste of time, it impedes on physical activity and provides no education opportunities whatsoever.

Key Point:

Waste of time:
average gamer 13 or older spend over 6 hours playing video games a week
Can easily loose track of time ad other obligations or responsibilities
People become so absorbed into the screen that they don't realize what's going on around them

Impedes on physical activity:
Stationary, seated and minimal movements for hours at a time
Inside- no fresh air or sunlight
Good chance that you're eating while playing because you dont what to take a break to eat therefore you're sitting down and probably eating junk food- again, not healthy

No education opportunities:
Killing, bombing, hunting- why do young kids need to experience all that violence on the TV?
Taking away from homework, and other work that should be done
Is there really a value in building vitual towns?
"Skills" learned on line are not going to help anyone really in the future or in their daily lives
